Our Story

Inspired by Nature. Built on Bonaire.

More than 25 years ago, our family began with Mangrove Center, becoming one of the first operators to offer guided kayaking experiences through Bonaire’s mangroves.

What started with a single activity grew from a passion for sharing Bonaire’s natural beauty into a broader vision: creating authentic outdoor experiences that allow visitors to discover the island in a different way.

A New Chapter

Today, that vision continues through Outdoor Bonaire.

In 2026, we had the opportunity to take over Outdoor Bonaire from one of Bonaire’s true outdoor pioneers, a founder who helped introduce both mangrove and cave experiences to the island.

Building on that legacy, Outdoor Bonaire brings together a growing collection of authentic outdoor experiences, including Mangrove Center, Caving Center and Climbing Center.

Each experience has its own character, but they share the same goal: helping visitors discover Bonaire from a different perspective.

Our family is also the founder of Wild Bird Rehab Bonaire, a non-profit organization dedicated to the rehabilitation and protection of Bonaire’s birdlife. Together, our organizations work toward a future where adventure, conservation and responsible tourism go hand in hand.
